Our story

Started with one truck and a chipper.

Brazos Land & Tree Co. opened in 2014 with one dump truck, a chipper, and a couple of climbers who got tired of working for outfits that cut corners.

Twelve years later we’re running multiple crews across Sugar Land, Greatwood, Riverstone, First Colony, Sweetwater, Avalon, Telfair, Missouri City, Richmond, and Rosenberg. Most of our work still comes from referrals — homeowners telling their neighbors after a job we did three years ago.

The job hasn’t really changed: show up on time, work to ANSI standards, leave the property better than we found it, bill what we quoted. That’s the whole pitch.

How we work

Four rules, no exceptions.

ANSI A300 standards on every cut

We don't 'top' trees. Every prune we make follows the published industry standard — even when the customer asks us to cut corners.

Real ETAs, not marketing windows

When you call after a storm, we tell you when we'll actually be there. If we're booked four hours out, that's what you hear.

Cleanup is included, not extra

Every job ends with the yard returned better than we found it. No 'haul-away surcharge' surprises on the invoice.

We turn down work we can't do well

If a job needs a crane size we don't run, or a permit window we can't make, we'll tell you and recommend someone who can — straight up.

Credentials

Verifiable, not just claimed.

Tree service has too many uninsured operators with chainsaws. Here’s how to verify ours.

ISA Certified Arborists

Two ISA-certified arborists on staff. Verify our credentials anytime through the International Society of Arboriculture's certification lookup.

ANSI A300 Pruning Standards

We work to ANSI A300 — the American National Standard for tree care. The same standard the City of Sugar Land Forestry Department references.

$2M General Liability + Workers' Comp

Full Certificate of Insurance available before every job — sent directly to you or your HOA management company.

Sugar Land Tree Ordinance Compliant

We handle permit applications for protected species (live oak, pecan, magnolia) and trees over 8" trunk diameter as required by Sugar Land's tree ordinance.
